It's some introduction abt "anxiety" from text book Kring et al.(2010) that I think I should pick it up and shared:
Anxiety is a future-oriented mood state, characterized by apprehension because we cannot predict or control upcoming events.
Psychologist have known for over a century that we perform better when we are a little anxious.Eg:You will be better prepared for the job interview coming up if u are anxious.Physical and intellectual performances are driven and enhanced by anxiety.
But what happends when you have too much anxiety?
You might actually fail the exam because you can't concentrate on the questions.
Too much of a good thing can be harmful, and few sensations are more harmful than severe anxiety that is out of control.
to be continue...
